Book of the Month - Janurary

*****
A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck
I loved this series, I cannot wait to read more of his books.
Joey and Mary-Alice from the windy city during the Al Capone day's are on their annual visit to their Grandma Dowdel's in a small town that you could walk from one end to the other.
Grandma Dowdel isn't the most conventional grandma with her quick wit and feisty personality that kept to herself, or at least that what she wants you to think.
I give this book a 'G' rating

I forgot to ever comment on this. THis is one of my favorite Children's chapter books. I love the story of these children with their Grandmother. Actually, I like the sequel even better, "A Year Down Yonder." A great book!!
