The Great Good Thing

The Great Good Thing, by Roderick Townley is a sweet and creative story of a princess living inside the story in a storybook. Along with the other characters in the story, they sit and wait for a reader to come so they are finally able to perform. However, she is never quite content to just keep telling her same story over and over, and through breaking some of the storybook character's rules, she finds herself in a true adventure.

I loved the main character and her spunk, and especially the relationships she created with the various readers of her book. Although the story was very simple, it was quite unique and creative. A refreshing read. I give it 4 stars and a G rating.
